Sequoia National Park

We were lucky 🍀 enough to enjoy a day in Sequoia National Park this month.

Since our time was limited I spent a good amount of time looking for a trail that would everyone would enjoy.

We visited in February and there was quite a bit of snow on the ground which we were ready for. Be sure to check the park website for weather as some places in the park are at much different altitudes that you can drive in on a sunny day and at the top be snowed on. Layers are key. Also, snow chains for your vehicle. The roads are thin with little to no wiggle room. The National Park Service requires you to carry them in your car.

The hike we did was the Big Trees Trail. Great for everyone. About 1.5 miles with lots of great picture spots and places to have lunch along the trail. Next time we visit we hope to try the Moro Rock Trail!

We stayed at a hotel in Visalia, CA. A great little base camp ⛺️. The drive into the park is long so be ready for that with extra water and snacks. Also, the road climbs high and is really windy. So if you get carsick be prepared with whatever helps you fight that!

Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Thanks for following along on our adventures!
