We stumbled upon the perfect late fall hiking trail after cutting down our Christmas tree a few weeks ago so yesterday we went back to check it out and it did not disappoint!

Forest Hill Devide Loop Trail

About 4 miles past the Foresthill Bridge on Auburn/Foresthill Road. Good signage and a turnout for parking.

11 miles if you do the full loop.

We hiked this trail on a Saturday afternoon and only saw two bikers out. I have head and read reviews that this trail has many mountain bikers so beware if your going out for a hike.

We thought the trail was well maintained and great for our kids. Bonus – there was a porta potty a d picnic table at the trailhead.

Cost: $10 day use fee or State Park pass.
